Offerings

We are happy to offer a variety of ways to access our produce and pork:

1. In 2015 we are trying out a new Veggie CSA model! Our hope is that this is a model that offers more flexibility and convenience for our customers while still helping you get great food and keep a connection to a farmer who is eager to provide you high quality food without any bad stuff. The basics are that you get discounted produce from the array of things we grow, but you get to pick exactly what you take home with you, and you don’t get penalized if you miss a week. email us to learn more, or download our form. 2. Farmers Markets. We currently sell at the Phoenix Hill NuLu Farmer’s Market downtown on Tuesdays from 3-6pm, located at Fresh Start Grower’s Supply (1007 East Jefferson St. Louisville, KY 40206; at the corner of Baxter and Jefferson). The market season begins on May 19th, and goes through October. Beginning on May 9th, 2015, for the first time, we are setting up on Saturdays throughout the summer at the Beargrass Christian Church/Saint Matthews Farmers Market from 8-12.

3. Restaurants. We currently have relationships with Proof on Main, The Mayan Cafe, Garage Bar, Decca, Rye on Market, Atlantic No.5, Harvest, Against The Grain, The Holy Grale and The Exchange, to name a few. As our farm and our business grows, we are excited to maintain and better serve these and other restaurants. If you’re a restauranteur, chef, caterer or foodie in the business and would like more information – please email us at grocesgrow@gmail.com. We’d love to work with you on any level.

4. We are also partnered with Louisville Grows’ Urban Growers Cooperative, an amazing resource for both growers and eaters. They distribute local produce to Louisville’s food deserts as well as local-minded restaurants and groceries. You can also find a lot of our food for sale through the Louisville Whole Life Buying Club.

Have all your shares for 2011 been purchased? Bobby and I are VERY interested in buying one! I participated in a similar co-op in Dallas, TX in 2009 before living on a small family farm in a tiny town in Ben Franklin, TX and helping with the garden and learning to eat lots of veggies prepared in many different ways til the next produce comes on! Thanks so much for what you’re doing–we heartily support you! (Sorry, I’m just now getting to write!)

Hi Kristen, I know you left your comment here before I updated this section. I’ve included you on the email that will go out next week to all the folks who are interested in a share. To answer your question – No, we’ve not sold all our shares, but that’s because we haven’t started signup yet! They will probably go quickly, so check back with me via our email (grocesgrow@gmail.com) if you have any question or concern about our CSA. Thanks – kg
